ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different hands-on therapy techniques called Maitland and Mulligan spinal mobilizations, used alongside special exercises that help open up the spaces in the lower spine. These treatments are aimed at people with lumbar spinal stenosis, a condition where the space around the spinal nerves in the lower back becomes narrow, causing pain and difficulty moving. The goal is to find out which therapy works better to reduce pain, improve movement, and ease symptoms.
The study is looking for adults aged 25 to 40 who have had low back pain for at least three months, with pain that spreads to one side of the leg and isn’t too severe (a pain level of 7 or less on a 0-10 scale). Participants should have a diagnosis of spinal stenosis caused by a slipped or herniated disc, confirmed by a doctor or imaging like an MRI. People with other serious health problems, pregnancy, previous spinal surgery, or pain that affects both legs won’t be able to join. If accepted, participants will receive either Maitland or Mulligan therapy combined with exercises and standard physiotherapy, four times a week for three weeks. The study will measure how much pain and disability improve after the treatment to help doctors decide which method is more helpful for people with this condition.
