ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is testing a new way to help people recover after a stroke, focusing on improving walking, thinking, and mood. The treatment uses a special system that reads your brain signals when you imagine walking and then gently presses on your feet to mimic the feeling of walking. The goal is to help you regain better movement, clearer thinking, and a more positive emotional state. The study compares this new approach to standard therapy to see which works better.

If you are between 18 and 80 years old, had a stroke that affected certain parts of your brain within the last two years, and have mild to moderate walking difficulties but are medically stable, you might be able to join. The treatment involves 10 short sessions over about two weeks, where you’ll sit comfortably, wear special shoes, and watch a screen while imagining walking. The sessions are safe and easy, using harmless light sensors on your head and gentle pressure on your feet. Throughout the study, your walking ability, thinking skills, and mood will be tested to see if the treatment helps you improve. You can stop anytime if you feel uncomfortable or change your mind. This new approach aims to make stroke recovery more personalized and effective by connecting your brain’s activity directly to the therapy.
