ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a special sleep program can help teenagers recover more quickly and feel better after a concussion, which is a mild brain injury often caused by a hit to the head. Sleep problems are common after a concussion and can make symptoms last longer or cause difficulties with mood and school. The researchers want to see if this new sleep program can improve sleep quality, help symptoms go away faster, and support better mental health and school performance compared to the usual advice given after a concussion.
Teenagers between the ages of 10 and 19 who have recently been diagnosed with a concussion and are still experiencing symptoms may be eligible to join. Participants will need to have a certain level of symptoms as measured by a questionnaire and should not have had treatment for sleep problems before their concussion. If you join the study, you can expect to follow a specific sleep plan designed to improve your sleep habits, and the researchers will check to see how this affects your recovery and overall well-being. This study aims to provide clearer guidance for doctors on how to help teens sleep better and heal faster after a concussion.
