ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special support program called the Coda Comfort Crew can help people going through chemotherapy for cancer at the Gatineau Cancer Center. The program offers friendly conversations, shared activities, and gift bags to provide comfort and reduce feelings of anxiety, depression, and overall distress during treatment. The goal is to see if these kinds of emotional and practical supports can make a positive difference in patients’ well-being.
Adults aged 18 and older who have cancer and are receiving chemotherapy at this center may be able to take part, as long as they can understand and agree to join the study and speak French or English. People with serious memory or thinking problems, or other severe medical or mental health issues that would make participation difficult, cannot join. If you participate, you can expect to interact with the Coda Comfort Crew, who will offer support and small gifts to help you feel more at ease during your treatment. The study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to better understand how emotional support can improve the experience of chemotherapy patients.
