ClinConnect Summary
This study, called "Little Movers," is focused on helping babies and toddlers develop their movement skills in healthy ways. It offers educational workshops for parents, caregivers, and early childhood teachers to learn about important motor milestones—like when babies usually start to roll over, sit, or walk—how active play supports development, and how to spot early signs that a child might be having trouble with movement. These workshops are tailored for different age groups: 0-12 months, 13-24 months, and 25-36 months. The study also follows infants from birth up to 12 months to watch their motor development closely using special assessments. If any delays are noticed, the study team will keep a closer eye on those children and help connect families to support and services as early as possible.
Families who have children between 0 and 36 months old and who attend the participating daycare center may take part in the workshops, while infants up to 12 months old without known neurological or motor problems can join the observation part of the study. Parents or guardians will need to give permission for their child to participate. Those involved can expect to attend workshops, complete surveys before and after, and, for infants in the tracking part of the study, have regular check-ins to assess their movement skills. This study aims to support healthy development by educating those who care for young children and by catching any movement concerns early so that kids get the help they need as soon as possible.
