ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment approach for vulvodynia, a condition that causes pain in the vulva, the area outside the vagina, especially during touch or pressure. The study focuses on young women aged 15 to 23 who have a type of vulvodynia triggered by touch or pressure. Researchers want to find out if this combined treatment, which includes different methods together, helps reduce pain and how the women feel about the treatment.
If you join the study, you will be asked to fill out short questionnaires twice a week before and during the treatment, which lasts about 25 weeks, as well as before starting, right after finishing, and six months later. This helps the researchers track your progress and experience over time. To take part, you need to be a young woman diagnosed with provoked vulvodynia, speak Swedish well, and have experience with vaginal sex, since the treatment is designed for this specific group. Some conditions, like recent childbirth, pregnancy, severe mental health issues, or trauma related to sexual experiences, mean the study might not be suitable. Overall, this trial aims to understand how well this combined treatment works and how young women feel about it, to hopefully improve care for those with vulvodynia.
