ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether a special educational program about spirituality can help nurses who work in intensive care units (ICUs) take better care of their own spiritual well-being. Spirituality here means finding personal meaning, hope, or connection, which can be important for coping with the stresses of working in critical health care settings. The program is based on a theory that focuses on personal growth and understanding spirituality in a broad, positive way. Researchers will measure the impact of this program by using a questionnaire called the Spiritual Perspective Scale to see if nurses’ views and practices around spirituality improve after the training.
Nurses who work in critical care units and have at least six months of continuous experience in these settings may be eligible to join the study. Participants need to have certain scores on the Spiritual Perspective Scale that show they have moderate to low engagement with spirituality. Those who don’t complete all parts of the study, including the initial test, the educational program, and the follow-up test, cannot participate. If you join, you will be asked to complete questionnaires before and after the educational sessions to help researchers understand how the program affects your spiritual self-care. This study has not started recruiting yet, but it hopes to support nurses by helping them grow personally and cope better with the demands of their important work.
