ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new tool called a torque device, which helps doctors during certain heart procedures that study and treat irregular heartbeats in children. Specifically, the trial will check if this device is safe and works well after a child has already had an electrophysiology study or ablation—a procedure where doctors examine the heart’s electrical system and may fix problem areas to improve heart rhythm. Importantly, the usual heart procedure will happen first as decided by the child’s heart doctor, and the study will only begin after everything needed for that procedure is done.
Children and young adults up to 21 years old who are having one of these heart procedures may be eligible to join. If a child takes part, they won’t have to change their treatment plan, and the study will start only after their heart doctor finishes all the necessary tests and treatments. This trial is not yet open for enrollment, but it aims to help improve tools used in treating heart rhythm problems in young patients in the future.
