ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how people with type 2 diabetes treat mild low blood sugar episodes, also called hypoglycemia. The study wants to understand which treatment options work best based on each person’s own experience and preferences. Participants will choose from different amounts of simple sugar to raise their blood sugar and decide when to check their blood sugar again after treatment. The goal is to find out which approach helps individuals manage mild low blood sugar most effectively.
People who might join this study are adults (18 years or older) with type 2 diabetes who take certain diabetes medications like insulin or sulfonylureas. To participate, they should not have other types of diabetes, a history of not noticing low blood sugar symptoms, or a recent low blood sugar event within the past day. During the study, participants will experience a mild drop in blood sugar under close supervision and then try their chosen treatment to bring it back up. This study is currently recruiting volunteers and is open to all genders.
