ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether adding extra information and support about loneliness can improve an online therapy program called the Wellbeing Course, which helps people manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. The researchers want to see if including this loneliness content helps people feel more engaged, satisfied, and improves their overall treatment results, especially for those who often feel lonely. The therapy is delivered entirely online over 8 weeks, where participants review course materials and answer questions about their progress.
To join the study, you need to be at least 18 years old, live in Saskatchewan, have some difficulties with depression or anxiety, and feel quite lonely based on a short questionnaire. You also need access to the internet and be willing to learn ways to manage your mental health on your own. People with severe medical or psychiatric issues that need immediate care, or who cannot read English, cannot participate. If you join, you’ll complete the Wellbeing Course online, with some participants receiving the extra loneliness content, and you’ll fill out surveys to help researchers understand how well the program works. This study is currently recruiting people of all genders who meet these criteria.
