ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two treatments—cardiac rehabilitation (a type of exercise program for the heart) and manual lymphatic drainage (a gentle massage technique to reduce swelling)—can help people hospitalized with acute decompensated heart failure, which is when the heart suddenly struggles to pump blood well. The goal is to see if starting these treatments while still in the hospital can improve symptoms like fluid buildup (which causes swelling, especially in the legs) and help patients regain strength and physical ability.
People who might join this study are adults hospitalized for acute heart failure who are stable enough to participate. However, people with certain other health problems like lung, kidney, liver, or serious skin issues, recent heart surgery, or blood clots won’t be eligible. If you take part, you can expect to receive guided exercise therapy and gentle massage to help manage swelling, all supervised by healthcare professionals. This study has not started recruiting yet, but it aims to find safer and more effective ways to support recovery during a hospital stay for heart failure.
