ClinConnect Summary
The RECOVER study is a research project taking place at Hochgebirgsklinik Davos that aims to better understand how people recover during and after cardiac rehabilitation—a program that helps patients improve their heart health following heart problems or surgeries. The study will look at patients with various heart conditions, such as heart failure, heart attacks, heart rhythm problems, or those who have had heart surgery or devices implanted. Researchers want to learn what factors, including genetics and other health markers, affect recovery and long-term health, so they can help tailor treatments to each person's needs.
Patients who are 18 years or older and starting cardiac rehabilitation at Hochgebirgsklinik Davos may be eligible to join, as long as they can understand German and agree to participate. If you join, you’ll be part of detailed health assessments, and your progress will be followed over time to see how well you recover. The study won’t change your usual care but will collect important information to improve future treatments for heart patients. The study plans to begin in mid-2025 and continue for several years to gather this valuable information.
