ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at the levels of three important vitamins—B12, folic acid, and vitamin D—in women who can have children, aged 18 to 49, living in Herzegovina. The researchers want to see if the current advice on taking these vitamins before and during pregnancy matches the actual needs of women in this area. By checking blood samples from 360 women, the study hopes to provide better guidance on how much of these vitamins women should take to stay healthy and support a healthy pregnancy.
Women who are between 18 and 49 years old and not currently taking vitamin B12, folic acid, or vitamin D supplements can join the study. However, women with certain health conditions like diabetes, epilepsy, cancer, or bowel diseases cannot participate. If you join, you will give consent and have your blood tested to measure vitamin levels. This information will help doctors create better vitamin recommendations tailored to women in this region, especially those planning to become pregnant.
