ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether using a stress ball can help reduce feelings of anxiety and pain during a prostate biopsy, which is a medical test where a small sample of prostate tissue is taken for examination. The study is looking specifically at men aged 65 to 74 who are having their first prostate biopsy. To take part, men need to be awake, able to read and hear well, free from mental health or neurological issues, and physically able to squeeze a stress ball with their hands.
If you join the study, you will be asked to use a stress ball during your biopsy to see if it helps you feel less anxious or uncomfortable. This study has not started recruiting participants yet, so if you meet these criteria and are interested, you may have the chance to participate once it begins. It’s important to know that the study is voluntary, and you can choose to leave at any time.
