ClinConnect Summary
This study, called MOVI-OLE! (Open Learning Environment), is looking at a new way to help children be less inactive and improve many parts of their health and learning. The program is designed for schools and uses special classroom furniture that encourages movement, along with teaching methods that focus on the students’ needs. Researchers want to see if this approach can help improve children’s thinking skills, physical fitness, body health, mood, and how engaged they feel at school. They will also talk with students, teachers, and families to understand how easy and practical it is to use this program in real schools.
The study is for children in 5th and 6th grades at schools in Ciudad Real, Spain, that are already trying new ways to teach and learn. To join, students need permission from their parents or guardians and should be able to participate in physical activities. The schools must also agree to take part in the program and the evaluations before and after. If selected, children will be part of an active classroom environment and take part in assessments to track their progress. This study aims to find out if changing the classroom setting along with teaching style can make a positive difference in children’s health and school experience.
