ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether practicing Baduanjin, a gentle and traditional Chinese exercise that combines slow movements and deep breathing, can help reduce pain, increase comfort, and improve recovery after knee replacement surgery. The study will take place at a hospital in Turkey and include 60 patients who have had knee replacement surgery. Half of the participants will practice Baduanjin starting the day after surgery for three weeks, while the other half will receive the usual care without these exercises.
To join the study, patients need to be 18 to 70 years old, in stable condition after their surgery, fully awake, and willing to participate. People who have certain health issues, mental illnesses, or who take specific medications that affect the mind won’t be included. Participants will be asked about their pain levels, comfort, and overall recovery each week for three weeks to see if Baduanjin makes a difference. This trial could offer a simple and safe way to help patients feel better and heal faster after knee surgery.
