ClinConnect Summary
This clinical study is looking at how simulation training is used during the education of doctors who are specializing in anaesthesia and intensive care across Europe. Simulation training means practicing medical skills in a safe, controlled environment using tools like mannequins or computer programs, which helps doctors prepare for real-life situations. The study wants to find out how many European countries require this kind of training, how often it happens, what specific skills are taught, how the training is funded, and if it counts as part of working hours. It also aims to understand the challenges faced by countries that don’t have mandatory simulation training.
The study is open only to a specific group of participants—representatives from the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) National Anaesthesia Societies Committee (NASC). These participants will be asked to complete an online survey sharing information about the simulation training in their countries. The study isn’t recruiting yet, but when it starts, it will help provide a clearer picture of how simulation training is used across Europe to improve the education of future anaesthesiologists and intensive care doctors.
