ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how a combination of two treatments—functional electrical stimulation (which uses small electrical pulses to help muscles work better) and core stabilization exercises (which strengthen the muscles around the stomach and back)—can help children with spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy that mainly affects their leg muscles. The researchers want to see if this combined approach can improve how the pelvis (the lower part of the torso) tilts and if it can help children stand more steadily.

Children aged 4 to 6 years who have mild muscle stiffness in their legs and can move independently to some extent may be eligible to join. To participate, their pelvic tilt angle must be above a certain level, and they should not have other serious conditions like fixed bone deformities, vision or hearing problems, epilepsy, or recent surgeries or treatments like Botox injections. If accepted, participants will receive the electrical stimulation along with exercises aimed at strengthening their core muscles, and the study will observe how these treatments affect their balance and pelvic position over time. This study is not yet recruiting participants.
