ClinConnect Summary
This is an observational study called PROCER at the University Hospital of Liège in Belgium. Researchers will look at all-ceramic restorations (such as crowns or implants made from ceramic material) placed by the fixed prosthodontics team over the last 25 years. The main goal is to find out how long these ceramic restorations last and how well they work in real life, using a set of standard evaluation criteria. They’ll also ask patients about their satisfaction with the restorations over about 15 years. The study plans to enroll about 200 people, including children, adults, and older adults.
Who can participate? The study is open to anyone who had a ceramic restoration fitted at CHU Liège by a fixed prosthetics practitioner in the past 25 years. There are no specific exclusion criteria listed. Participation is by invitation, and the project is currently enrolling. Participants will have yearly surveys about their restoration and periodic clinical checks to assess appearance, function, durability, and any biological effects, following established guidelines. This is an observational study (not testing a new treatment), and individual data will not be shared publicly. The study timeline extends to 2039, with ongoing follow-up and long-term results.
