ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether an 8-week nutrition education program that doesn’t focus on dieting or weight loss can help improve how young adult women feel about their eating habits, body image, and overall well-being. The program teaches ideas like intuitive eating (listening to your body’s hunger and fullness signals), accepting your body, and making healthy food choices for wellness—not weight control. The study will compare women who take part in this program to those who don’t, to see if the education makes a positive difference over time.
Women between the ages of 19 and 35 with a normal body weight (a Body Mass Index, or BMI, between 18.5 and 24.9) may be eligible to join. Participants will be randomly placed either in the group receiving the weekly online sessions or in a group that does not get the program. Before and after the 8 weeks, everyone will answer simple questionnaires about their eating habits, feelings about their body, and overall mood and self-esteem. They will also keep a short food diary for three days. Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an eating disorder, or are currently on a weight loss or special medical diet are not eligible. This study aims to find out if learning about nutrition without dieting can support healthier attitudes and well-being for young women.
