ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a specific genetic change called the SF3B1-K700E mutation in two types of blood cancer: acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Researchers want to find out how often this mutation occurs in patients with these cancers and whether it is linked to other lab test results. Understanding this could help doctors learn more about the diseases and possibly improve diagnosis or treatment in the future.
The study is open to people of any age and gender who have been diagnosed with either ALL or CLL. However, those with other kinds of cancer cannot join. Although the trial has not started recruiting yet, participants can expect to have their blood or tissue samples tested to check for the mutation and to compare these findings with other lab results. This study focuses on better understanding the role of genetic changes in leukemia, which may help guide medical care down the road.
