ClinConnect Summary
The Plans4Care study is testing a new app designed to help people who care for someone with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease and memory loss. This app offers easy-to-follow plans and advice to handle common challenges caregivers face, like dealing with anxiety or changes in daily activities. The goal is to see if using the app can make caregivers feel more confident, better understand dementia, and improve their own well-being. Caregivers can also choose to talk with a care advisor for extra support and practice using helpful strategies.
If you’re a family member, friend, or neighbor who mainly takes care of someone with memory loss and are 21 or older, you might be eligible to join. You’ll need to have regular internet access and have been actively helping with dementia-related care challenges in the past six months. While the study is not yet recruiting participants, those who join will use the app on their phone, tablet, or computer and share how it affects their caregiving experience.
