ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is creating a detailed registry to better understand long-term health conditions that affect people living with HIV/AIDS in Brazil. These health conditions include heart and blood vessel diseases, breathing problems, kidney issues, and cancer. The study will gather important information about participants’ backgrounds, lifestyle risks, physical health, and lab test results. It will also follow participants over at least one year to see if new health problems develop. This information will help doctors and health policymakers improve care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with HIV or AIDS can take part, regardless of gender. To join, participants need to agree to the study by signing a consent form. People who are currently hospitalized, in prison, or from indigenous communities are not eligible to participate. Those who join can expect to provide personal and health information, undergo physical exams, and give samples for testing. The study will involve research centers across five regions of Brazil, aiming to include a diverse group of participants to better understand and address their health needs.
