ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how pharmacists can help women with a common bladder infection called acute cystitis. Usually, these infections are treated with antibiotics, but sometimes antibiotics might not be necessary. The study is testing a special decision-making tool that pharmacists can use when talking with patients. This tool helps both the pharmacist and the patient understand when antibiotics are really needed and when other treatments might be enough. The goal is to make sure antibiotics are given only to those who truly need them, which helps prevent unnecessary use and keeps antibiotics working well for everyone.
Women who have symptoms of a simple bladder infection without any serious health risks may be able to take part. To join, participants need to be women connected to the French public health system and willing to give their consent. Some women won’t be eligible, such as those who are pregnant, have certain health conditions, or have had frequent infections. If you take part, the pharmacist will use the decision tool to guide your treatment during your visit. This study has not started recruiting participants yet, but it aims to make treatment for bladder infections safer and more personalized in the future.
