ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a simple exercise program using minimal equipment can help improve the physical and mental abilities of older adults living with dementia in the community. The program lasts 16 weeks and focuses on strength training, which will be compared to the usual care participants receive. The goal is to see if this kind of exercise can make daily activities easier and improve overall function.
Adults aged 55 and older who live at home and have a formal diagnosis of dementia may be eligible to join. People with other serious neurological or muscle disorders, severe hearing or vision problems, or those who have major difficulties with movement might not be able to participate. If eligible, participants will either take part in the exercise program or continue with their usual care, and they will have simple physical and mental tests at the start, middle, and end of the study to track any changes. This study is not recruiting yet but aims to help find practical ways to support older adults with dementia through exercise.
