ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help doctors safely place a breathing tube during surgery without using a tube through the nose, which can sometimes cause discomfort or injury. The study focuses on a tool called the Oxygen Reserve Index (ORI), which is a special monitor that can warn doctors early if a patient’s oxygen levels start to drop, even before standard monitors show a change. The goal is to see if using ORI can make the breathing tube placement quicker, safer, and less stressful for patients having gallbladder removal surgery.
People who might take part are adults between 18 and 60 years old, in generally good health, and scheduled for planned gallbladder surgery under general anesthesia. To join, patients should have a low risk of difficult breathing tube placement and meet certain health criteria. If you participate, doctors will monitor your oxygen levels closely using ORI during the procedure. This study isn’t recruiting yet, but it aims to improve safety and comfort during surgery by using this new monitoring method.
