ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at how a special arm support device, called a dynamic arm support (DAS), can help people with neuromuscular conditions in their daily lives. These conditions affect the muscles and nerves, making it harder to use the arms and hands. The researchers want to understand how using this device changes the way people experience everyday activities, and what personal or outside factors affect how the device is used.
If you are 16 years or older, can understand instructions, and already use one of the DAS devices from Focal Meditech (such as Balancer or Flowing), you might be able to participate. The study involves three sessions where you’ll answer questionnaires and take part in interviews—first without the device, then after using it for a few weeks, and again after three months. These sessions can be done by phone, online, or on paper, making it easier to take part from home. This study is currently looking for participants and aims to help improve support for people who rely on these devices every day.
