ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how blood vessels age, especially focusing on the differences between arteries and veins. As we get older, our blood vessels change in ways that can increase the risk of heart problems. This study aims to better understand these aging processes at the cell level, which could help improve treatments or prevention for heart disease in the future.
People who might be eligible for this study are adults aged 65 to 74 who need coronary artery bypass grafting (a type of heart surgery to improve blood flow). However, those with high blood pressure, diabetes, or inflammatory diseases would not qualify. If you join the study, doctors will likely examine the health and aging of your blood vessels during your surgery to learn more about how different vessels age. This research is not yet recruiting participants but hopes to include a broad group of patients within the specified age range.
