ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how breathing patterns, specifically a condition called hyperventilation (which means breathing too quickly or deeply), affect physical performance in people with obesity. Obesity can make it harder to breathe properly because extra body weight affects the muscles and movements involved in breathing. This can cause symptoms like shortness of breath and rapid breathing, which might make everyday activities more tiring or difficult. The study aims to better understand how these breathing issues impact physical abilities, which could help create better, personalized exercise and therapy plans for people with obesity.
People who might join this study are adults between 18 and 65 years old who have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, which means they have obesity. Participants need to be able to read and understand Turkish, give written consent, and be physically and mentally able to complete the tests involved. The study excludes those with serious heart, lung, joint, nerve, or mental health conditions, recent major surgery, pregnancy, or other limitations that would affect testing. If you join, you can expect to undergo tests that look at your breathing and physical performance to help researchers learn more about how these factors interact in obesity.
