ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special art-based nursing program can help middle school students develop healthier habits when using digital devices like phones and computers. The program aims to reduce problems like digital addiction (when using technology becomes hard to control) and cyberbullying (bullying that happens online), while also boosting the students’ confidence in handling challenges in the digital world. This is done through creative art activities designed to help teens express themselves better and build skills to deal with difficult online situations.
The study will include 6th-grade students from a school in Turkey, who must be able to understand and speak Turkish, and whose parents agree to their participation. Students who recently took part in similar programs, have serious health issues that make art activities difficult, miss two sessions, or choose to leave early will not be eligible. Participants will be randomly placed into two groups: one that takes part in the art program and a control group that does not. Before and after the program, researchers will check levels of digital addiction, cyberbullying, and self-confidence. The hope is that those in the art program will show healthier digital habits and feel more capable. This study could help school nurses better support young people facing challenges in today’s digital world using creative and caring approaches.
