ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new support program designed to help men living with HIV who also use stimulant drugs. The goal is to see if this remote program can help them remember to take their HIV medicines regularly and lower the amount of HIV virus in their bodies. Taking HIV medicine every day is very important because it keeps the virus under control and helps people stay healthy.
Men who might be eligible for this study are those who are prescribed a specific type of HIV medicine called a tenofovir-based regimen, have trouble keeping the virus under control, use stimulant drugs, live in the U.S., and have a smartphone with a camera. Participants will be asked to do things like urine tests at home and visit a local lab to check their viral load, which shows how well the medicine is working. They will also need to provide a small sample of hair for testing. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it offers a new way to support men living with HIV in managing their treatment from a distance.
