ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, called the Gongji Pregnancy Endocrine Cohort Study, is looking at how genes, lifestyle choices, and medications might affect certain pregnancy-related health conditions like gestational diabetes (high blood sugar during pregnancy) and thyroid problems. The study aims to understand how these factors influence the development of these conditions, any complications during pregnancy, and health outcomes for both the mother and baby after birth.

Women who are planning to become pregnant, are currently pregnant, or have given birth within the past year may be eligible to join if they are 18 years or older and willing to participate in regular follow-ups. Participants will be asked to share information about their health, lifestyle, and treatments, helping researchers learn more about these pregnancy-related conditions. It’s important to note that women with severe health issues or mental illnesses, or those who cannot communicate well, might not be able to join. If you qualify and decide to participate, you’ll be contributing valuable information that could improve care for future mothers and babies facing these challenges.
