ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether foot massage can help reduce pain and the need for pain medicine after total knee replacement surgery, a common operation for people with severe knee arthritis. After this surgery, many patients experience moderate to severe pain, which can make recovery harder. Along with usual pain treatments, this study wants to see if adding foot massage can improve comfort, reduce swelling, and help patients recover faster.
Adults aged 18 and older who speak Turkish, don’t have serious hearing, vision, or memory problems, and are having knee replacement surgery on one knee with regional anesthesia may be eligible to join. Participants will receive care from the same surgeon and use similar pain medications to keep things consistent. The study is not yet recruiting, but if you join, you can expect to receive foot massage after surgery as part of your pain management plan. This trial highlights the importance of combining medicine with gentle therapies like massage to help manage pain and improve recovery after knee surgery.
