ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying whether a supervised exercise program combining moderate-intensity aerobic (like walking or cycling) and strength training can help reduce pain sensitivity in women who have survived breast cancer and continue to experience pain after their treatment. The study also looks at whether this exercise can improve pain levels, how the body senses pain, overall quality of life, and physical ability.

Women who may be eligible for this study are adults who were diagnosed with stage I to III breast cancer, have finished their main cancer treatments (such as surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation) at least six months ago, and still have ongoing pain or unusual sensations in the area around the treated breast or arm. The exercise program will be carefully supervised to ensure safety, and participants will be supported throughout. It’s important to note that women with certain conditions, like cancer returning in the same area, cancer in both breasts, other types of cancer, or health issues that prevent moderate exercise, would not be eligible. The study is currently recruiting participants and aims to see if this kind of exercise is a safe and helpful way to manage pain after breast cancer treatment.
