ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether laughter yoga can help people with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a condition that mainly affects the spine and can cause pain and stiffness. The researchers want to see if laughter yoga can reduce disease symptoms, ease pain, improve daily functioning, lift mood, and enhance overall quality of life for those living with AS.
People who might join this study are adults diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis who also experience some levels of depression, anxiety, or stress, based on specific questionnaire scores. Participants need to be able to hear and communicate well, have a smartphone, and be physically able to do yoga exercises safely. Those with certain health issues like recent surgery or serious conditions may not be eligible. If you join, you’ll take part in laughter yoga sessions and be monitored to see how it affects your symptoms and well-being. The study is not recruiting yet, but if you meet the criteria and are interested, this could be a way to explore a fun, non-drug approach to managing AS.
