ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the timing of treatment affects people who have a dislocated total hip replacement. When a hip replacement becomes dislocated, doctors need to put it back in place through a procedure called a "closed reduction," which is done without surgery in an operating room. The study aims to find out if waiting longer to fix the dislocation leads to longer hospital stays, more complications like infections or heart problems, higher chances of needing intensive care, or even increased risk of death. The researchers will also look at whether different ways of managing anesthesia and breathing during the procedure affect these outcomes.
People eligible for this study are adults aged 18 or older who come to the emergency room with a dislocated hip replacement and will have the closed reduction procedure done in the operating room with anesthesia support. Those who need open surgery instead or whose medical records are incomplete won’t be included. If you join the study, your hospital stay and recovery will be closely monitored to understand how timing and care during the procedure impact your health and hospital experience. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to help improve care for future patients with this condition.
