ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at whether giving people personalized advice about their lifestyle—like diet, exercise, smoking, alcohol use, and body weight—can help them make healthier choices during and after colorectal cancer screening. Participants will be divided into different groups: some will get digital feedback about their lifestyle, some will also have phone calls with healthcare providers and attend online webinars about cancer prevention, and others won’t receive any feedback. The researchers want to see if these different levels of support help people improve their habits over two years. They will also check if asking people to complete lifestyle questionnaires encourages more of them to participate in colorectal cancer screening.
To join the study, you need to be invited to take part in the first round of the national colorectal cancer screening program, which involves a simple stool test done at home. If you are invited, you may be asked to fill out short online questionnaires several times over two years and, depending on your group, receive personalized lifestyle advice or extra support like phone calls and webinars. This study also aims to understand who chooses to take part and how different groups respond to these invitations, helping to improve future screening programs and health advice.
