ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at ways to help people living in Boston housing developments get more regular medical check-ups and better care for high blood pressure (hypertension) and diabetes. The program trains some residents to become Community Health Ambassadors (CHAs), who will lead workshops about these health conditions and help neighbors find doctors, health centers, food resources, and insurance. These Ambassadors will also be paid part-time employees, gaining valuable job experience while supporting their community.
If you live in Boston Housing Authority housing, speak English or Spanish, and are between 65 and 74 years old, you might be eligible to take part. Participants can expect to attend workshops led by the Ambassadors and receive help connecting with health and social services. The program aims to make it easier for residents to stay healthy by improving access to care and support right where they live.
