ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the nutritional health of children and young people who have a rare condition called mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). MPS affects how the body breaks down certain substances, which can impact growth and nutrition. The study aims to understand better how MPS affects calorie intake and overall nutrition in patients aged 1 to 18 years.
To join the study, participants need to have a confirmed diagnosis of MPS and be in a stable health condition. Children who have other serious health problems that could affect their growth or nutrition, or who have been recently sick or hospitalized, may not be eligible. If a child joins, their parents or guardians will give permission, and the child will agree to take part if they’re able. The study will involve checking the child’s nutritional status, but it does not involve any treatment or dietary changes. This information will help doctors learn how to support the nutritional needs of children with MPS better. The study is not yet recruiting participants.
