ClinConnect Summary
This study is testing a new feature in a meditation app called Equa that helps young adults who are feeling stressed better understand how their body responds during meditation. The app uses sensors to track things like breathing and movement, then gives feedback to help users see how their mindfulness skills—like staying calm and focused—are improving. Researchers want to find out if people enjoy using this feature and if it helps them get better at meditation.
If you are between 18 and 30 years old, speak English, and are currently feeling psychological distress (like stress or anxiety), you might be able to join. Participants will complete 14 guided meditation sessions on their smartphone while wearing special earbuds and a sensor-equipped shirt to measure their body’s responses. Some people will also see a graph showing their progress during the sessions. You’ll fill out short surveys before and after meditating to share how you feel and track any changes in your mindfulness skills. People who are pregnant or have certain serious mental health conditions, like psychosis or schizophrenia, cannot join the study.
