ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether imagining yourself walking while watching videos of people walking can help improve walking ability in individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The idea is to see if mentally practicing walking movements can make a difference in muscle activity and walking patterns. Participants will be split into two groups: one will watch walking videos and imagine themselves walking, while the other will watch videos of nature scenes. The researchers will then compare the results to understand if this mental practice can support better mobility for people with MS.
To be eligible, participants need to have a confirmed diagnosis of MS, be between 65 and 74 years old, and have good mental function as shown by a simple memory and thinking test. They should not have had an MS relapse in the last three months or be experiencing one now. People with serious health issues affecting their muscles, heart, lungs, or metabolism, or with other neurological or psychiatric conditions, long-lasting pain, significant leg stiffness, hearing or vision problems may not be able to join. If you take part, you will watch videos and be asked to imagine walking while your muscle activity and walking patterns are measured. This study is not yet recruiting but may offer a new, simple way to help improve walking for people living with MS.
