Coronary Angiography Virtual Reality Nursing

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how using virtual reality (VR) technology might help patients during a coronary angiography, which is a medical test that looks at the heart’s blood vessels. The goal is to see if VR can reduce feelings of anxiety, make patients more comfortable, and improve their overall experience during the procedure. By using VR as a tool, the study hopes to help patients feel less stressed and more relaxed, which could make the procedure easier for both patients and doctors.

To take part in this study, patients need to be between 18 and 70 years old, able to read and write, and undergoing coronary angiography for the first time. They should not have any problems with their vision or hearing and must not have taken opioids or tranquilizers recently. People who have had certain heart surgeries (femoral artery bypass grafting) are included, but those who get headaches, nausea, or other issues from using VR glasses, as well as pregnant women and those under 18, cannot join. Participants will use VR during their heart procedure and researchers will check how it affects their comfort and stress levels. This study aims to find new ways to make heart tests less stressful and more patient-friendly.
