ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using MRI scans can help doctors quickly diagnose and treat people who come to the emergency room with an acute stroke, which is a sudden problem with blood flow to the brain. The study will also see if this approach helps reduce the time it takes to start treatment, which is very important for recovery.
Adults aged 18 and older who come to the emergency room with stroke symptoms might be able to take part, as long as they don’t have certain conditions that would make MRI or CT scans unsafe or if they haven’t started stroke treatments before completing both scans. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and people with very high blood pressure won’t be eligible. Participants will have both MRI and CT scans done quickly to help doctors decide the best treatment within a short time frame. This study is not yet recruiting patients but aims to improve how fast and accurately strokes are diagnosed and treated in emergency settings.
