ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a home-based exercise program, guided by a smartphone app, can help people who have recently had a heart attack (also called a myocardial infarction) and who tend to avoid physical activity due to fear of movement or injury (known as kinesiophobia). The app provides personalized exercise plans, real-time feedback, progress tracking, and motivational support to help patients stay active and improve their physical abilities. This approach could be especially helpful for people who find it hard to attend traditional rehab programs in clinics.
To join the study, participants need to be at least three months past their heart attack, spend more than eight hours a day sitting, and have a low level of physical activity. People with unstable heart conditions, recent surgeries, or serious heart problems are not eligible. If you take part, you’ll follow the exercise plan at home using the app, which aims to safely increase your activity and reduce fear of movement. This study is still not recruiting participants but could offer a new way to support heart health and recovery from home in the future.
