ClinConnect Summary

This study is looking at a tool called the Analgesia Nociception Index (ANI) to see if it can help measure how children and teenagers with chronic pain feel after receiving a treatment called an interventional block. The researchers want to understand if changes in the ANI score match up with changes in how sensitive these young patients are to pain. This could help doctors better understand and manage chronic pain in kids aged 9 to 17.

If your child is already getting this type of treatment as part of their usual care for chronic pain, they might be able to take part. During regular clinic visits, the study will record their pain levels and ANI scores without adding extra procedures. This is an observational study, so it doesn’t change the treatment your child is receiving, but it helps gather important information that could improve pain management in the future.
