ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to measure how children move their shoulders. Instead of using the usual tools like a goniometer (which is a device that measures joint angles) or a specific scoring system called the modified Mallet classification, this study will use video recordings and artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze shoulder movements. The goal is to see if this new video-based method can provide information that is just as good as the traditional exam.
The study is open to children of any gender, but the age range listed seems to be a mistake as it shows very large numbers; typically, this type of study would involve children with shoulder movement issues. Participants will have their shoulder movements recorded on video, and this information will be analyzed by special software. Since the trial is not yet recruiting, families interested in participating should keep an eye out for updates. This study could help make shoulder exams easier and more accurate in the future, especially for kids who might find traditional exams difficult.
