Kolcaba Comfort Theory Pain Delivery Room

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how special nursing care based on Kolcaba’s Comfort Theory can help newborn babies during and after vaginal birth. The goal is to see if this kind of care can reduce pain and stress for the baby by making them more comfortable in different ways—physically, emotionally, and even by creating a calm environment. The study will look at how this care affects things like the baby’s pain levels, how long they cry, and important body signs such as heart rate, breathing, oxygen levels, and temperature.

Babies born vaginally may be eligible to take part in this study. During the trial, nurses will provide care focused on keeping the baby comfortable according to the comfort theory, and researchers will observe how this affects the baby’s well-being right after birth. This study is currently looking for newborns to join, and it aims to learn if comfort-focused nursing can improve health outcomes for babies during this critical time.
