ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called bee venom phonophoresis to see if it can help reduce pain and improve movement in people with knee osteoarthritis, a common joint condition that causes pain and stiffness. In this study, adults between 40 and 75 years old who have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis will be divided into two groups. One group will receive the bee venom treatment using ultrasound therapy, while the other group will get a similar treatment but with a neutral gel instead of bee venom. The goal is to find out if the bee venom treatment works better than the placebo to ease pain and help people move more easily.
If you join the study, you will have your pain and walking ability tested before and after the treatment using simple tests like rating your pain on a scale, timing how quickly you can stand up and walk, and measuring how far you can walk in six minutes. The study is carefully designed and approved by an ethics committee, and all participants will give their written consent before joining. This trial is not yet recruiting but aims to offer a new, non-invasive option to help people with knee osteoarthritis manage their symptoms.
