ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different ways to perform a nerve block called the infraclavicular brachial plexus block, which is used to numb the arm during forearm and hand surgeries. This type of nerve block helps patients avoid general anesthesia (being fully asleep) and provides good pain relief during and after surgery. The study aims to find out whether the traditional method or a newer approach called the retroclavicular method works better for these surgeries.

People who might be eligible to join are adults of any gender who need surgery on their forearm or hand and are suitable candidates for this type of nerve block. Participants will receive one of the two nerve block methods before their surgery and will be closely monitored to see how well the numbness and pain relief work. This study is not yet recruiting, but if you are considering forearm or hand surgery and want to learn more about this option, this trial might be relevant in the future.
