ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a hormone called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) behaves in the body when given using a small, wearable device called the OmniPod pump. GnRH is important because it helps regulate the menstrual cycle and ovulation (the release of eggs). Some women experience a condition called hypothalamic amenorrhea, where their bodies do not produce enough natural GnRH, causing their periods to stop and making it hard to get pregnant. This study aims to better understand how the hormone is delivered and absorbed when given with the OmniPod pump, which could help improve treatment options for these women.
Women who have this kind of amenorrhea and are within the age range specified by the study may be eligible to join. Participants will receive the hormone through the pump, and researchers will measure how the hormone levels change in their bodies over time. This is an early-phase study, so it focuses on learning about the hormone’s behavior rather than testing how well it works yet. If you or a loved one fits the criteria and are interested, this trial could offer a chance to help develop new treatments for women facing challenges with fertility due to missing periods.
